In Santa Clara County, hundreds of people have or will experience sexual abuse or sexual violence by someone who forced or coerced them to do things against their will or without their consent. The voices of community members who have endured this type of incident are essential to creating effective, respectful, and healing services and support systems.
The purpose of this anonymous and optional survey is to gather information that will help Santa Clara County understand individuals’ experiences with the county’s current sexual assault response system, including civil and legal systems as well as supportive services. The survey will also explore why some individuals choose not to report their sexual abuse or sexual violence, and the alternative supports that individuals who have experienced this type of incident would like to see.
